Douglas Harink is an author and professor emeritus of theology at The King’s University in Edmonton, Alberta. He has been a faculty member at The King’s University for nearly three decades. During that time he has taught in the areas of historical and modern theology, Christian ethics, theology of religions, theology of creation, theology and science, and Paul’s letters and theology. In the past he served as charter member and president of the Canadian Evangelical Theological Association and president of the Canadian Theological Society.

Douglas does a lot of reading and writing in theology, especially St Paul, contemporary theology, and recent Continental and Catholic philosophy.

Douglas is married to Debby and they have two adult daughters, Elizabeth and Allison. Elizabeth is married to Nathan. Allison is married to Tim, and they are the parents to Douglas and Debby’s grandchildren, Jack and Charlie. Douglas loves spending time with his family (especially Jack and Charlie)! When he’s not teaching and writing, he likes to garden and cook. He loves good novels. A few of his favourites: Moby Dick (Herman Melville), East of Eden (John Steinbeck), A Fine Balance (Rohinton Mistry).
